Album: Negai ga Kanau Basho ~Vocal&Harmony version~
Tsubasa wo Kudasai was originally composed for the Nemu Popular Festival (1970), and was performed by Akaitori (Red Bird) in 1971. Eventually, the song became more and more popular in Japan, so much that it became Japanese team’s theme in World Cup 1998.
Many artists have performed this song, included Hirahara Ayaka, Lia, Tada Aoi, and also Susan Boyle (English version “Wings to fly”).
This acoustic version sung by Lia and Tada Aoi is one of the best version in my opinion. However, for some unknown reason, it is not as well-known as K-On! version or Evangelion version. Therefore, if you enjoy it, please share this version.
